Finally...Our BIG News:)

Tonight I finally share with you the news that we have been working hard on for the past many weeks.

We have stated the process for an international adoption!!! As many of you know, we tried to walk this path many years ago, but it was not the right time for us then. Well it is now:) We ask for your prayers, good thoughts, love and support as we go forward in this process to bring our little girl home. We know that some people do not understand what we are doing, but you should all know by now that it doesn't matter to us;) You have been invited here because we love you and want you to be a part of our lives. Please feel free to ask questions, we will answer them to the best of our ability.

Now, truth be told, many of you already know parts or all of our adoption plans. Now that things are official, and public, there are some rules. The country where our new daughter lives does not allow for public information to be shared in this way, so it's name will not be mentioned, nor will any info that gives away her current location. So those in the know, please do not say anything. Also her name that we will be using on this blog, is a made up name used to advocate for her. It is not her real name, nor is it the name that she will have when she gets don't get too used it;) We do have a very short window in which to get her home, as she will be turning 6 yrs old in the fall and will no longer be able to stay where she is. It is our hope, and the hope of all involved that we will be going to get her before the year is over. This will be a long, rushed, and exhausting road, but one that will be well worth it in the end.

So now I present to you, the newest member of our family, although she has NO idea yet....

Miss K, or Kameron

(Please note, that although we have "committed" to adopting Kameron, that she could still be adopted by someone in her country before we are able to go to her. It is our plan, our intention, and our hope to adopt her, but in the world of IA (international adoption) there are NO certainties.)
